AECOM's Design + Planning practice offers a holistic approach to guide responsible and productive use of the land. Our practice includes design, master planning, environmental and ecological planning, strategic planning and economic development. We integrate these areas of expertise on projects of all scales and contexts. Some of our clients are private developers creating communities or world-class destinations. RESPONSIBILITIES
· Reporting to the Director of Technical Services support the Director and senior staff with design, technical and constructability reviews of landscape architecture, urban design and park projects.
· Working with senior staff support the development of a growing Project Management /Construction Management practice.
· Direct projects during construction administration phase work.
· Manage landscape architecture and ecological restoration projects including oversight of consulting engineers, architects and other specialists

EXPERIENCE
7-10 years professional experience with demonstrated experience managing staff and financials for construction document production and construction administration phase services for landscape architecture and urban design construction projects exceeding $750,000 in design fees.

Experience and/or interest in advancing sustainable design principles, particularly during the construction administration phase of work.

Ability to show design experience through built work and client references in at least three of the following areas:
· Streetscapes
· Green roofs
· Recreational parks and/or sports fields
· Playgrounds
· Fountains and/or water play areas
· Passive recreation parks
· Urban Parks and Plazas
· Ecological restoration
· Storm water management including biofiltration basins, rain gardens, bioswales, wetlands and stream bank restoration

ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Cost Estimating and CSI Format Specification Preparation ability desired. Strong graphic and writing abilities required. Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD or Microstation required. Ability to use CivilSoft, Rhino, Sketch-Up, Photoshop, or Illustrator a plus.
Professional Licensure Requirements:
New York State Licensed Landscape Architect or ability to become licensed within six months or New York State Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to become licensed within six months .
Educational Requirements:
B.S.L.A., B.L.A, B.C.E ; M.L.A or M.Eng. Preferred
